o Code of Conduct and Ethics-Related Policies
CLEVELAND, OH—July 23, 2007—Axentis, providers of the industry’s most comprehensive and widely deployed governance, risk and compliance (GRC) management solution, today announced the addition of ELT’s Ethics & Code of Conduct and Workplace Harassment e-learning courses to its Ethics & Integrity Management Suite. The latest Axentis solution provides Global 2000 organizations with an effective program to address training requirements, within the context of an overall GRC approach, mandated by Sarbanes-Oxley and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
“The rapidly changing regulatory and corporate policy environment, coupled with frequent changes in organizational structure, ongoing employee turnover and information overload have made it increasingly challenging for organizations to ensure basic ethics principles are understood,” said Roger Bottum, vice president marketing and product management at Axentis. “With this new addition to our offering, ethics officers now have a powerful resource to better ensure that employees and contractors comprehend key principles around such critical topics as antitrust, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, discrimination, insider trading and record keeping, and an organization’s ethics reporting procedures and compliance resources.”
With Axentis Ethics & Integrity Management Suite, customers can move from passive, manual and fragmented approaches to an integrated model, utilizing multiple communication styles that range from simple policies to interactive e-learning solutions with a single closed-loop view. Leveraging the Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery model, easy integration with SAP and Oracle, and powerful rules-based targeting of employees and contractors, Axentis has been implemented in as little as two weeks and requires minimal IT resources.
“An effective GRC campaign must include a comprehensive educational component that communicates key details on topics such as code of conduct and ethics,” said Shanti Atkins, president and CEO of ELT. “By marrying the ELT e-learning content to the Axentis offering, customers are able to have a closed-loop, single-view, helping drive behavior that is consistent with an organization’s principles.”
ELT's Ethics & Code of Conduct and Workplace Harassment training courses, developed in conjunction with global law firms Shearman & Sterling and Littler Mendelson, are next generation compliance solutions that allow employers to configure the subjects taught to their business and legal environments. Featuring ELT's premier Working People™ story-based template, the course permits users to select the subjects taught by choosing subject matter compliance vignettes from ELT's prepared library. Available subject matter vignettes address topics like antitrust, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, insider trading record keeping and workplace discrimination. The course also provides an introduction to business ethics and includes resources to express and deliver the specifics of an organization's Code of Conduct and reporting procedures.
