Axentis Empowers Companies with Greater Insight and Control over Policies and Procedures

New Product Enhancements Also Streamline GRC Communications

Cleveland, OH—December 10, 2007Axentis, providers of the industry’s most comprehensive and widely deployed governance, risk and compliance (GRC) management solution, today announced a series of enhancements that further improve customers’ ability to have more sustainable, consistent and efficient GRC programs. The latest updates to Axentis Enterprise include a new document approval module, updated email communications and improved survey capabilities.

“Policies and controls are an essential part of making risk and compliance management truly operational,” Roger Bottum, vice president of marketing and product management for Axentis. “As companies’ GRC programs struggle to evolve with the constantly changing regulatory environment, Axentis is always looking to develop additional functions to make the compliance and risk process as efficient as possible.”

The definition of an effective GRC platform includes the ability for organizations to effectively communicate policies and procedures to the appropriate employees, contractors and vendors. Numerous global 2000 customers already use Axentis today to address this aspect of GRC, and the most recent enhancements expand on this through:

•A new, integrated Document Approval module to streamline automate, and formalize an auditable method for creating and maintaining key documents (e.g., policies, procedures, narratives and guidelines) through the collective review, approval and adoption process. In addition to specific GRC documents, this capability can be used to manage the review of documents that require review for compliance purposes, such as marketing materials in regulated materials. For more information on Document Approval please see Document Approval Demonstration.

•Enhanced email communications that allow customers to use Axentis for more than specific compliance requirements; i.e., customers can use email to reinforce the key compliance and risk themes of the company, supporting more standard requirements-based communications.

•Expanded survey capabilities that enable customers to reinforce executive commitment while better measuring employee understanding and view of their organization’s commitment to compliance and risk objectives.

"Controls and risk practices mean nothing if people are not aware of them. Effective GRC requires that individuals are aware of the policies, procedures and training that apply specifically to them,” said Michael Rasmussen, President of Corporate Integrity, LLC. “Axentis has architected a highly scalable and accessible solution to communicate and train individuals on corporate policies and procedures. The SaaS model makes the platform extensible not only internally but to an organization's range of business partners."

Built upon a SaaS model, Axentis Enterprise immediately serves up the new capabilities to licensed Axentis users without requiring IT resources, enabling faster integration into a company’s daily GRC program.
