Open Compliance and Ethics Group (OCEG) is the only nonprofit offering comprehensive guidance, standards, benchmarks and tools for integrating governance, risk management and compliance (GRC) processes so you not only comply, but perform. Central to OCEG’s mission is the OCEG Framework for integrating governance, compliance, risk management and integrity into the tangible practice of everyday business. OCEG drives adoption of the Framework through a multi-industry, multidisciplinary coalition and provides a community of practice for the exchange of information, tools, benchmarking and feedback for continual improvement of the Framework. OCEG’s unique platform and organizational structure helps you take advantage of contributions from thousands of experts and companies.
AXENTIS was one of nine co-founders of The Compliance Consortium, an international membership organization formed in June 2004 to promote effective governance, risk and compliance management. The Compliance Consortium and OCEG merged in June 2004 to form a Technology Council to provide leadership around technology guidelines and tools under the same charter as that of OCEG. AXENTIS’ President, Ted Frank, chairman of the Compliance Consortium, joined OCEG’s overall Leadership Council to lead the newly formed Technology Council.
AXENTIS is currently sponsoring OCEG's Benchmark Series—Managing Privacy Practices: Promulgating Compliance Through The Extended Enterprise Study.

Data Governance is the process by which companies govern appropriate access to their critical data – by measuring operational risk and controlling security exposures. The Data Governance Council is working to redefine the management of data governance policy, the impact of policy on business processes and practices, and the enforcement of policy in IT infrastructure, information management and organizational behavior. Members of the Council are collaborating on ways to address these issues using IBM and business partner solutions and concepts.
AXENTIS works closely with the Council to help companies manage their initiatives and ensure alignment with the seven elements of an effective compliance program, as defined by the United States Sentencing Commission.
